Cambridge Technology Announces Smaller MicroMax™ Servo Driver 677XX

Cambridge, MA, January 20, 2003 — Cambridge Technology, Inc., the leader in optical scanning technology, announced today that it has developed a new compact size servo driver. The MicroMax™ Servo Driver 677XX, the latest in innovative laser support systems from CTI is among the industry’s smallest servo components. At 2 inches in width the MicroMax™ Servo Driver 677XX is approximately one half the size of most servo driver products. In addition to the smaller size other advances have been made including; improved offset adjustment capability, enhanced thermal stability, and easier tuning. These features combine to offer a smaller size board with increased capabilities resulting in easier system integration for Cambridge Technology customers.

The 677XX incorporates Cambridge Technology’s advanced servo driver MicroMax™ technology and is a single axis driver that is designed for optimal performance with the 62XX and 68XX Advanced Optical Galvanometer Scanners. “More Compact and low cost servo drivers are an important element in the growth opportunities of several industries that we have been enabling with our compact and low cost 62XX and 68XX series of galvanometers.”, said Redmond P. Aylward, President, Cambridge Technology, Inc., “Our focus on R&D and customer satisfaction continues to be reflected in the innovation, development and evolution of our entire product line.

Laser scanning applications where the 677XX Servo Drivers will be utilized include material processing, medical instrumentation and the laser light show industry. The product is available immediately.
