The 6800 galvanometer series combines Cambridge Technology's moving magnet actuator technology and our first patented dual optical position detector design. This combination offers high positioning speed and accuracy in a compact, lower cost closed loop galvanometer. The 6800 series scanning systems can be designed and optimized for speed, size, cost and accuracy with typical beam diameters between 3 mm and 10 mm.

Although, the 6800 series is not recommended see galvanometer selection guide for new designs due to the advancements in the 6200 Series, many of our customers have and still use the 6800 series galvos with continued success. Cambridge Technology's commitment to customer satisfaction and product reliability means that we will continue to produce and service the 6800 series.

• Fast Galvo Speeds and Step Response Times: The 6800 series is specially designed to maximize the system's performance for high speed applications. With our advanced actuator design in conjunction with our 678 servo drivers, the 6800HP can reach speeds up to 1-2 kHz with step response times in the 300 microsecond range for small angle movements.
• Maintaining Position Accuracy and Repeatability at High Speeds: CTI's advanced optical position detector provides high position accuracy and repeatability at high speeds. In combination with our 671 servo drivers, the 6800HP can achieve 20 microradians short term repeatability.
